“Each time you meet an old emotional pattern with presence, your awakening to truth can deepen. There’s less identification with the self in the story and more ability to rest in the awareness that is witnessing what’s happening. You become more able to abide in compassion, to remember and trust your true home. Rather than cycling repetitively through old conditioning, you are actually spiraling toward freedom.”

– Tara Brach

Greetings! I hold psychotherapy as a living, creative inquiry into the depths of you. If you work with me, we will look together at what is troubling you and what you are longing for. Where we uncover traumas, stuck patterns, or beliefs that don’t serve you anymore, we can use a variety of effective modalities to heal and integrate them such as Somatic Experiencing, EMDR (a very effective technique that helps process unresolved traumas safely), parts work, and mindfulness. True healing and growth often come from slowing down, learning to be a little gentler with ourselves, and reconnecting with parts of us that may have been lost or forgotten in the hustle and bustle of daily life; in this spirit, I like to make lots of space for the organic unfolding of your unconscious mind. There can be a lot of energy stored in the deep unconscious, and over time this process can feel profoundly re-invigorating!

My style is warm, engaged, mindfulness-based, trauma informed, and relational. My theoretical foundations are Jungian, archetypal, and Gestalt. I love to include the wisdom of the body in our work. I see psychotherapy as one of the great alchemical paths of human life, and few things bring me more joy than co-creating the vessel of inner transformation with my clients.

I have a dedicated sitting meditation practice and am an enthusiastic student of Zen. This practice has helped me to cultivate a space within myself and in my work as a therapist where presence, non-judgment, spontaneity, and listening are central, and the ever-present background of silence is a friendly touchstone. In addition to working with a wide range of issues including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, people-pleasing, and PTSD, I provide coaching to people who are new to meditation and would like help and encouragement in getting a practice going. I also love supporting more seasoned spiritual practitioners in integrating insights gained during practice into daily life.
